Search and ask

Use everyday language. A short name such as “Fireball”, a topic such as “grappling” or a complete question all work.

Ask a question

  1. Tap the input field at the bottom of the Guide.
  2. Enter the name, rule or question you are looking for.
  3. Choose the fitting suggestion if several matches appear.
  4. Open the answer and keep it visible while you continue playing.

ResultThe matching entry opens as a complete knowledge panel.

Browse without a search term

  1. Choose one of the starting suggestions, such as Spells, Weapons or Character creation.
  2. Open a category or one of its grouped sections.
  3. Select the entry that answers your current question.
If no fitting result appears Try the common name without a full sentence, or use a closely related term. Switching the language also changes the searchable names.

Read knowledge panels

Knowledge panels put the facts needed at the table first. The detailed explanation remains directly below instead of opening a separate page.

Find your way around a panel

  1. Read the label above the title to identify the kind of entry.
  2. Check the large circles or value boxes for the most important numbers.
  3. Open the section whose heading matches your question. The whole heading row can be tapped.
  4. Use tables and alternating rows to compare details.
  5. Check the source and related entries near the end when you need more context.

Characters and custom entries

Your own character and custom campaign entries use the same calm presentation as regular Rule Guide content. Their editing options depend on your edition.

Pro · DME

  1. Open a writable book or backpack and choose Add entry.
  2. Choose Custom entry, then select the character template at the top.
  3. Continue to the separate naming panel and enter the character name.

  5. Use the entry search in the equipped section for main weapon, armour and shield or second weapon.
  6. Save the entry and open its info button to check the finished knowledge panel.

DME

  1. Choose Add entry in a writable book and open Custom entry.
  2. Select a template such as NPC, monster, weapon, armour, magic item, place or spell.
  3. Name the entry in the next panel, then choose an image and optional linked entries.
  4. Open a content row by tapping anywhere on its heading and fill in its fields.
  5. Add, remove or reorder elements only where the entry needs a different structure.
  6. Save and check the resulting knowledge panel before sharing it.

Custom entries participate in recognised links. Clear names therefore help campaign terms open directly like regular rules content.

Account, appearance and offline

  2. Open My account to choose your preferred ruleset and manage your account details.
  3. Use the appearance control in the lower bar to select an available theme.
  4. Day and Night are available in Free; Pro and DME also include Evening and Tavern.

Prepare an offline copy

  1. While online and signed in, choose the language you want to prepare.
  2. Open the offline control in the lower bar and choose Use offline.
  3. Wait for the confirmation before closing the page. Other languages are prepared separately.

  5. Choose Remove offline copy if the material should no longer remain on this browser profile.
