Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Effective: 30 September 2026 · Version 2026-09-30-1
1. Provider, scope and language
The provider is Adrian Piwowarczyk, Barmer Straße 20, 58332 Schwelm, Germany, phone +49 176 41244630, email adrian.piwo@icloud.com. These Terms apply to paid Rule Guide subscriptions. The Terms of Use also apply. Contract languages are German and English; the version selected at checkout governs.
2. Plans and services
Rule Guide Pro adds the personal convenience and content features shown on the Pricing page to the free rules companion. The Dungeon Master Edition (DME) additionally includes the campaign, collection and sharing features shown there. The plan description and order summary displayed immediately before ordering govern.
The four subscriptions are:
- Rule Guide Pro monthly: €1.99 per month,
- Rule Guide Pro annually: €11.88 per year,
- Rule Guide DME monthly: €9.99 per month,
- Rule Guide DME annually: €59.88 per year.
The provider is a small business exempt from charging VAT under section 19 of the German VAT Act. VAT is neither charged nor shown. There are no shipping costs.
3. Formation and correction
Plan displays invite the customer to submit an offer. Before the payment obligation is created, the plan, total price per billing period, renewal, cancellation and incorporated legal texts are shown. Input errors can be corrected using the fields and browser navigation before the final Stripe button is pressed. By pressing the Stripe button clearly labelled as creating a payment obligation, the customer submits a binding offer. The contract is formed when payment succeeds and the subscription is activated. A confirmation including the applicable contract terms is sent by email.
4. Start, supply and statutory rights
The digital service is supplied to the linked account after the contract is formed. If a consumer expressly requests performance before the withdrawal period expires, access is activated immediately after payment confirmation. Without that request, supply begins after the withdrawal period.
Statutory rules for digital products apply, including conformity, remedies, price reduction, termination and necessary updates. Changes during a contract term are made only under the statutory conditions. Security and compatibility updates must be installed insofar as reasonably required for conforming use.
5. Payment
The fee is due at the start of each billing period. Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe Limited. Available payment methods may vary by country and device. If payment fails, access may be restricted to the extent permitted by law after notice and a reasonable cure period. Statutory rights of retention remain unaffected.
6. Term, renewal and cancellation
The subscription runs for one month or one year and renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the current period ends. It can be cancelled at any time effective at the end of that period through the account, via Cancel contracts here or by email. Receipt before renewal is sufficient. The paid period remains usable until it ends.
Termination for cause and statutory termination rights remain unaffected. Deleting an account does not automatically replace cancellation of a running subscription; if deletion is requested, the user will be informed of an existing subscription and its termination coordinated.
7. Plan changes
An upgrade may take effect immediately. Any prorated additional amount shown before confirmation becomes due when confirmed. A downgrade or switch to a cheaper billing cycle generally takes effect at the end of the current period. Until then, the previous plan and price apply. A scheduled change can be revoked in the account before it takes effect.
8. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have the statutory right of withdrawal. Details, the period and model withdrawal form are set out in the Withdrawal information. If early performance was requested, proportionate payment for service supplied before withdrawal may be due where the statutory conditions are met. For this continuing digital service, the right is not lost merely because access was first activated.
9. Liability
The provider has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, culpable injury to life, body or health, under product liability law and within any guarantee. For ordinary negligence affecting an essential contractual duty, liability is limited to typical foreseeable loss. Liability for other ordinary negligence is excluded. Mandatory consumer rights and statutory liability for digital products remain unaffected.
10. Changes to terms and prices
Changes do not apply retrospectively. Terms for running contracts may be changed only for an objective reason, particularly mandatory legal changes or new or modified functions, and only where reasonable. Price changes are announced in text form at least six weeks before the next renewal and apply no earlier than the following billing period. Express consent is obtained where required; otherwise, the customer may cancel before the change takes effect.
11. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice applies only insofar as it does not deprive them of mandatory protection under the law of their habitual residence. Statutory venues remain unaffected.
The provider is neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
